“Titanium Triumph!” Iraeta successfully rolled out a 10-ton-class pure titanium slab!

Recently, Iraeta's Jining subsidiary has successfully forged and delivered a 10-ton pure titanium slab.

Titanium metal boasts exceptional properties, including a high strength-to-weight ratio, low density, and excellent corrosion resistance. In recent years, titanium and its alloys have seen increasingly widespread applications across industries such as aerospace, marine engineering, chemical metallurgy, and medical devices. However, their low thermal conductivity and strong affinity for cutting tools pose significant manufacturing challenges, often leading to issues like brittle cracking and difficult machining during production.

Upon receiving the order, Iraeta's Jining subsidiary placed significant emphasis on the task, with the technical department overseeing the entire process through strict, end-to-end monitoring. The forging and machining workshops collaborated seamlessly, leveraging precise control over critical process parameters such as temperature and pressure to ensure the titanium slab met all specifications for mechanical performance and structural stability.

The successful rollout of this product not only highlights the Jining subsidiary's leading edge in high-end equipment manufacturing but also signifies its achievement of in-house, end-to-end production capabilities for titanium products—encompassing forging, machining, finish milling, polishing, coloring, and flaw detection.

Currently, Iraeta's Jining subsidiary can process titanium plates with a maximum weight of 15 tons, and has achieved steady improvements in key aspects such as overall dimensions, material yield rate, and subsequent processing.

Moving forward, Iraeta's Jining subsidiary will continue to broaden its product portfolio and explore new application frontiers, solidifying its foundation in non-ferrous metals and high-precision, cutting-edge products. The company is dedicated to establishing a world-class forging hub in southwestern Shandong, driving forward the advancement of China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
