King Felipe VI of Spain Visits China; Mr. Niu Yugang, Chairman of Iraeta, Invited to Attend Welcome Events

rom November 10 to 13, 2025, King Felipe VI of Spain paid a state visit to China. A series of business and trade events were held during the visit, and Mr. Niu Yugang, Chairman of Iraeta, was invited to attend.

Attended the China-Spain Business Forum held in Chengdu.

On November 11, King Felipe attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the China-Spain Business Forum in Chengdu. As a representative of a joint venture between the two countries, Chairman Niu Yugang participated in the event. Iraeta’s joint venture dates back to 2006 with the Spanish Ribas family business and will enter its 20th year next year.

After years of development, the company has become a major key component manufacturer in the clean energy sector and one of the successful examples of Spanish business investment in China. Since 2019, three consecutive Spanish Ambassadors to China have visited Iraeta to learn about its development and encouraged the company to make greater contributions to economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

On November 13, King Felipe arrived in Beijing and visited Gestamp Beijing. Gestamp is the automotive component division of the Ribas family business. It now has more than 100 production plants in 24 countries around the world and entered the Chinese market in 2007.

Speaking about the event, Chairman Niu Yugang said: “This year marks the 20th anniversary of the China-Spain Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Iraeta’s joint venture will also soon enter its 20th year. We are both witnesses to and builders of this partnership. In the future, Iraeta will continue to focus on the clean energy market and contribute more to deepening economic and trade relations between the two countries.”
