Iraeta Breaks Guinness World Record Again with 21.029m Seamless Rolled Ring!

On 26 January 2026, Iraeta held its grand 2026 flagship new product launch in Shanghai under the theme “Forging New Industry Benchmarks ,Linking The Global Empower Green Development”.

At the event, Ms Hou Ying, Guinness World Records Adjudicator, presented the certificate for the “Largest Sieamless Rolled Steel Ring (Prototype)” to Chairman Niu Yugang.With a diameter of 21.0294 metres, Iraeta broke its own Guinness World Record set in 2022, achieving a new industrial milestone.

Chairman Niu Yugang also introduced Iraeta’s 2026 flagship new products.The highlight of the launch was the official debut of four major innovative products, covering all key applications for core components in energy equipment.

Flagship Product 1

Generator retaining rings are critical components for large-scale power generation equipment, requiring special alloys and high-precision manufacturing.

Since 2025, working with major power groups and equipment manufacturers, Iraeta has developed a dedicated production line for high-performance dual 18-nitrogen retaining rings.The first unit came off the production line on 24 December 2025.

Flagship Product 2

Ultra-large-diameter, ultra-high thick-walled shell

Base material weight: 280 tons

Outer diameter: 8 m

Inner diameter: 7.6 m

Height: 5 m

This product is mainly used as key forgings for pressure vessels in the high-end refining industry, such as hydrogenation shells and transition sections.

It provides essential pressure-bearing support for high-temperature, high-pressure and hydrogen-containing processes, forming the foundation for safe and stable pressure vessel operation.

Flagship Product 3

Ultra-large-diameter thin-walled shell

Base material weight: 120 tons

Outer diameter: 12 m

Inner diameter: 11.86 m

Wall thickness: 70 mm

Height: 4 m

It is used in hydropower and other related industries.

Ultra-large-diameter integrally seamless rolled ring:

This product is manufactured by the world’s largest 22m ring and cylinder rolling machine, jointly developed by Iraeta, Tianduan and Watts.

One ring: base material weight 143 tonnes, outer diameter 21.029 metres.

The other: base material weight 280 tonnes, outer diameter 18.63 metres.

The successful launch marks a new breakthrough for Iraeta in manufacturing core components for high-end equipment.
