Iraeta Showcases Four Core Capabilities at China Wind Power 2026

Iraeta took part in China Wind Power 2026 in Beijing from October 14 to 16, joining partners across the wind power industry to discuss market trends, technical developments and new opportunities in equipment manufacturing.

Under the theme “Integrated Manufacturing for a Wind-Powered Future,” Iraeta highlighted four core capabilities spanning integrated manufacturing, flexible production, research and development, and sustainable manufacturing with global delivery.

Four Core Capabilities: From Manufacturing to Delivery

1. Integrated Manufacturing and Supply

With its own short-process steelmaking line, Iraeta has built a manufacturing chain covering scrap steel recycling, steelmaking, forging, heat treatment, machining, quality inspection and logistics. Some forging offcuts and leftover material can be returned to the furnace for reuse, supporting material recycling. Coordinated management across materials, production, quality control and delivery also helps support supply planning.

This integrated approach helps coordinate production and delivery, supporting onshore and offshore wind power projects in China and international markets.

2. Flexible, Customized Production

Iraeta has developed ring forging capabilities across a range of sizes and specifications, including integral seamless rings over 21 meters in diameter and up to 5 meters high. Its product range includes foundation and tower flanges, yaw and pitch system forgings, and gearbox forgings for applications in onshore wind, large offshore wind turbines and floating wind projects.

Iraeta can tailor material selection, dimensions and performance requirements to individual project specifications, supporting the development and production of forgings for wind turbines across different power ratings.

3. Research-Driven Quality

Through quality inspection and traceability, Iraeta monitors quality throughout the process, from raw materials to finished forgings, with a focus on consistent performance and reliability under demanding operating conditions.

4. Sustainable Manufacturing and Global Delivery

Iraeta continues to advance more sustainable manufacturing. Its practices include hot charging of raw materials, oxygen-enriched combustion, near-net-shape forming and rooftop solar power. The company is also developing product carbon footprint accounting to better assess emissions and identify opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint of manufacturing and wind power components.

With two production bases in China and a manufacturing base in Spain, Iraeta continues to coordinate its production and delivery network across markets. By working across its facilities in China and overseas, the company aims to support delivery needs for projects in China and local supply requirements from international wind turbine manufacturers, offering wind power forgings and related manufacturing services to customers worldwide.
