As a China–Spain joint venture, Iraeta has long regarded itself as both a participant in and a witness to the deepening economic and trade relations between the two countries. As noted by Prime Minister Sánchez at the event, China–Spain relations are currently at “their best in history.” Iraeta has benefited from close cooperation between the two nations in trade, investment, and industrial manufacturing, and has consistently adhered to an innovation-driven approach while exploring new models through industrial chain integration.
The invitation to participate in this event not only reflects recognition of Iraeta’s past achievements, but also fully affirms the company’s role as a China–Spain joint venture in promoting industrial collaboration in the energy sector between the two countries.

In 2023, Rafael Dezcallar, then Spanish Ambassador to China, attended the unveiling ceremony of Iraeta’s “China–Spain Clean Energy and Offshore Engineering Equipment Innovation Demonstration Base”

In 2025, Marta Betanzos, Spanish Ambassador to China, visited Iraeta and attended the launch ceremony of the Ultra-Large Equipment Core Components Division
After the event, Chairman Niu Yugang stated that the emphasis on “deepening industrial chain integration” was highly inspiring. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of both countries’ leadership, China–Spain cooperation has shown increasing resilience. In particular, as China enters the initial stage of its 15th Five-Year Plan in 2026, the country’s commitment to expanding high-level opening-up has provided strong confidence for companies like Iraeta with a China–Spain joint venture background.
There remains broad potential for cooperation in areas such as clean energy and high-end equipment manufacturing.
